PAII Applauds Executive Order to Launch the Genesis Mission

Washington, D.C. — The Partnership for AI Infrastructure issued the following statement on the Executive Order to launch the Genesis Mission: 

“The Partnership for AI Infrastructure (PAII) applauds yesterday's Executive Order to launch the Genesis Mission, a major step toward securing enduring U.S. leadership in artificial intelligence, bolstering national security, and advancing scientific discovery. This Order lays the groundwork for a federal AI ecosystem capable of powering next-generation breakthroughs, from advanced materials and manufacturing to fusion research and modernizing the nuclear stockpile. 

The Genesis Mission represents precisely the kind of whole-of-government commitment that PAII has consistently urged: a bold national framework that expands government-scale AI infrastructure, leverages federal datasets for research, and deepens public-private partnerships to support the nation’s most critical missions. By promoting interoperability, the Order harnesses the full capabilities of our National Labs and scientific agencies to drive solutions to the nation’s highest-priority challenges. The success of this initiative will rely on ensuring the interoperability of hardware to enable cross-collaboration between the Mission’s federal and non-federal partners.  

At a time when other countries are racing to invest in AI, this Order is a clear signal that the United States is committed to remaining the global leader. PAII looks forward to working with the Administration to ensure the Genesis Mission is implemented with the urgency and ambition necessary to sustain America’s leadership position.”
