PAII Applauds Partnership with Oak Ridge National Lab
Washington, D.C. — The Partnership for AI Infrastructure issued the following statement on the Department of Energy’s announcement of the joint partnership with AMD and HPE:
“The Partnership for AI Infrastructure applauds the Department of Energy’s announcement of a new public–private partnership between Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to build two next-generation supercomputers. These systems will build on the success of open architectures to advance the frontiers of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence, accelerating breakthroughs in science, energy, and national security.
As members of the Partnership, HPE and AMD exemplify how collaboration between federal research institutions and industry leaders drives American innovation. This investment ensures the United States continues to lead the world in AI development and scientific discovery, leveraging cutting-edge technology for the public good.
